Book review of 'Hitler's Ideology: A Study in Psychoanalytic Sociology' by Dr Richard A. Koenigsberg:
Review by Gavin Wainwright:
In ' Hitler's Ideology: A Study in Psychoanalytic Sociology ' , you have a powerful tool on display that is sharp and precise. Adolf Hitler's actions and words are deconstructed. Causa Sui: Adolf seeks refuge from the terror of being the 'other' ,seeking reunification with Mother and pushing the 'other' onto easy targets of the time - Jews, foreigners, communists.
All of this is reassembled in exquisite form.
The journey towards understanding Hitler's psyche is sound and Richard A. Koenigsberg has a clean narrative that is a priceless device for students of university and also of life.
The person of Adolf Hitler is one that comes with a strong social stigma and humanity in general has averted its fragile eyes away from the true horror of the situation, unwilling to acknowledge the psychological Shadow that looms over Hitler's fiery legacy as it is also Humanity's darkened face.
One man caused so much destruction and pain, but to understand Adolf the young man is to know the monster that was Hitler. The darkness that moves and shifts, hiding within the core of humanity.
The denial of the death of his mother through cancer and in the pit of his mind, the fallen angel, Lucifer, constructed hell. Fashioned with the forming idea that external threats were the cause, Adolf sought to fight the disease and darkness he perceived without.
An extraordinary reaction to the ignominious, ordinary demise of a beloved One. In this replacement of the beloved dead mother, to the transformation of a living and mighty body, The German people as one body and nation. A body to stand as Iron, uncracked, for a Thousand Years.
The Third Reich.
The Immortal Mother-land.
The equating to disease, The Jews, a race of Homo Sapiens, Hitler viewed them as a plague and the ultimate 'other'.
The Utopian dream of purity, both racial and national, births the horrors of what 'Blood and Soil' really represents - that of the Sacred Mother.
This book is a scientific testament of human nature & it stands for the pursuit of authentic understanding, without the conceit that we are exempt from the Shadow that can destroy the soul. Death from within' - Gavin.
